In Branson, Missouri, some folks warmly refer to Brian Arnold as the world's best one-armed, one-legged pianist. He's that and much more: An accomplished musician, singer and songwriter, he's turned tragedy into triumph by overcoming two disabling accidents to become a remarkable performer, inspirational speaker and family man.
Brian lost his left leg in a freak lawn-mower accident at age six. With the encouragement of his schoolteacher mother, he became a child prodigy on the piano. At age 21, while starring as a pianist and vocalist at the Silver Dollar City theme park, Brian broke his neck in a car accident and lost the use of his left arm.
A month after the accident, he married his wife Diane and, with her steadfast help, began an arduous training routine to teach himself to play piano with one hand. He became so accomplished that he returned to the stage and to his popular vocal quartet, the Chosen Few.
