René Sandoval - bass
Bass player and composer from Valparaiso, Chile. Influenced by traditions from South American music as well as Afroamerican jazz, he has since 1990 been involved in different types of musical projects, such as Afrocuban, Brasilian, folk and pop music. René Sandoval has toured Scandinavia, Spain, Uruguay, Argentina Bolivia and Chile. He has also participated in many recordings of jazz, latin, pop and world music.
Fredrik Kronkvist - alto saxophone
One of the latest and hottest names on the Swedish jazz circuit today. Fredrik had nice reviews for his debut CD Altitude. He was awarded the prize "Newcomer of the year 2002" by the Swedish Radio. Fredrik has also won the prestigious European jazz contest "Jazz Hoeilaart International Belgium 2003" with his quartet. And he was chosen as one of ten young sax players, from all over the world, to participate in The World Saxophone Competition 2004 at the London Jazz Festival.
Loïc Dequidt - piano
French pianist who, after finishing his studies at the "Jazz Department of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique", moved to Scandinavia in 2002. Loïc has a broad experience and has played with outstanding European musicians such as Furio Di Castri, Claus Stötte and Tommy Smith and groups like the French-German Jazz Ensemble and Il Diritto e Il Rovescio. Loïc has his own trio here in Sweden and also a shared bandleadership for the groups Colours and Deco.
John Arnold - drums
American drummer based in both New York and Rome. Arnold has a long experience of performing with some of the world's finest musicians, such as Greg Osby, Gary Thomas, Cedar Walton and Chet Baker. He is the leader of the electronic project "Logorythms", a mix of jazz and electronica. In Italy he has cooperated with, among others, Enrico Pieranunzi and Rita Marcotulli. His first CD as a band leader, "Opium", features Kenny Garrett, John Pattitucci and John Abercrombie.
