I started my studies as a âclassicalâ guitarist. Having problems with breaking fingernails caused me to do more work with piano. Lately I find the digital piano more convenient to work with. On my next CD I would like to get back to doing more guitar music. I also enjoy writing music with the" MOVIE" sound and special effects music.
I was fortunate to be able to study music at the Peabody Institute of Music in Baltimore, Maryland. My studies were cut short when I was younger and from time to time I was able to learn from good teachers. One teacher in particular, Robert Hitz, because of his love of music and dedication, encouraged me to do more than I thought possible of myself.
As a teenager I enjoyed creating music. For a time I was a member of a band. Life has a way of turning our direction and my direction went to making money and the artistic/creative part of life went on hold. Now that money is not that big a deal, I want to pursue more in the direction of my music creating again.
I suppose there is a satisfaction for me just to be creative with music. My challenge is create music that is pleasing to others as well as to myself. For too many years my music laid in a book and nothing was done until my sons suggested I should do something..."let people hear it". So now I have done that.
