Details:
Rachel McCartney has graced Boston, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and NewYork City audiences since 1994.

Known to some fans as the Beantown's favorite street performer and subway entertainer, her Boston stage experience includes the Somerville Theatre, Lizard Lounge, Kendall Cafe and historic Club Passim.

Rachel is respected among her peers, and it's not uncommon to find her collaborating with other accomplished artists. Her live performance is physically and emotionally engaging, the power and beauty of her voice astounding.

At Passim, she's opened for well known artists such as Ellis Paul and Willie Porter, and has been featured in Passim's Cutting Edge Campfire festivals for the last four years. Recent Boston shows have included the 10th Annual Songstreet Production of Songwriters at the Somerville Theatre and the 2002 NEMO Showcase.

Before returning to her home town of Gloucester, Rachel was favored at local Pittsburgh venues, opening shows for Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin, Susan Werner and David Gray. Her solo billing has repeatedly filled popular venues including The Quiet Storm and The Club Cafe.

Songs from Rachel's recent album, Eye On the Horizon, are featured in Who Knew Productions' award-winning independent film The Bread, My Sweet. Her voice can also be heard in backup vocals on Brian Webb's new album entitled "Broken Folk" due for release on June 12th.

She is currently living in Brooklyn, New York and working in NYC at The Bitter End, The Back Fence and The Living Room.
