COUNTRY: Traditional Country, COUNTRY: Country Rock

Details:
I started playing music at the very early age of twelve at the Old Chapel Hill church, with my Aunt Margie (Smith) Hillenburg, my Uncle Paul Smith and friend Perry Hawkins. My love of music has always been Country and gospel.

I always wanted to have a country band, which became a reality when I was around 27 or 28 years old. With my band, we traveled all over the state and sometimes out of state playing for anyone who would listen, for many years.

I decided it would be good to have a home for our band, thatâs when the Country Palace was born. There we have played almost every week for thousands of fans over the last twenty years.

I also write songs and have visited Nashville Tennessee many times, where I recorded an album, "Here It Is," I had some success with a song "Million Dollar Woman" at number 98 on the Billboard charts. I have also released 2 songs in Europe with some success. One of the songs I have written called "The Man in Black" is about one of my early country music heroes, Johnny Cash.

I am a member of the Bedford N.S.A.I group, where we meet, and learn about writing songs and share ideas every month.

I have met many wonderful musicians and friends over the years and want to thank all of them, especially the current Ralph Eads Band. Members of the band are Randy Raines (lead guitar, steel guitar), Michael Smith (drums), Randy Gray (bass guitar) and Tim Adams (guitar, mandolin and vocals).

I would also like to thank Becky Muncy and Jeff Musgrave for being such good hosts for the N.S.A.I. meetings.
