The New York City natives, Rasheen from Far Rockaway, Queens and Sudan Life from Jamaica, Queens, have moved to the quiet, and slower cities of Richmond, VA and Rockville, MD respectively. Along with the entities named Dirk Dodge and NOVA950 (STILL HAVE THE NY STATE OF MIND!!!)...They continue the music that they enjoy to create.
Now The Nightshift has finally come together to create this chillout full-length LP to the masses!! One person describes the duo as the "OutKast of production". "Two producers with completely different styles that compliment each other perfectly." Rasheen blends melodic sounds with his style of acid jazz, world music, and rhythm & blues. And Sudan Life "sample the whole planet"-style, with hard hip-hop beats along with the drum & bass style, and the unpredictable styles of Electronica, Ambient and Break Beat styles that Dirk Dodge and NOVA950 brings to the table!!!
