Details:
Who
RandyK is a singer and a songwriter. RandyK's full name is Randy Korenczuk. He started writing songs because the notes the piano teacher taught him weren't as good as the notes he heard in his head.
What
RandyK's first instrument is piano. He also plays guitar, bass, accordion, and some ukulele, in that order. As a vocal performer, he has directed accapella groups, sung in musical theatre, and arranged songs to conform to his likings.
Where
RandyK's first language is Spanish. He is originally from Argentina. RandyK lived in Argentina until he was 10 years old. Then he and his family moved to Baltimore, Maryland. He has written songs in Spanish, Italian and English.
When
RandyK finished high school in three years to pursue music.
After graduating from the University of Delaware in '96 with a vocal performance degree, Randy went on a self-booked tour around the country. He has played in nice arenas, dives, and holes all around the country. Randy also got a gig one summer playing in Italy for summer camps. Italians love RandyK.
Why
RandyK's influences are wide and varied. From Tribe called Quest hip hop to James Taylor flavored pop to Harry Connick, Jr. and Rat Pack jazz, RandyK likes to mix and match. A recent review reads:
" This young singer-songwriter comes across like a '90s coffeehouse version of James Taylor. Forceful guitar strumming, earnest vocals, and lyrics about becoming whole and wanting to be free."
-Will Y.

Currently living in New York City, RandyK enjoys playing the subway systems. It's a great way to reach out to fans and add to his fan base. Sometimes, people take his picture and put it in magazines.
Keep Believing, Keep Pretending.
