For the last two years, Robert McShane has been
playing original music in and around Chicago, with
multiple shows at such diverse venues as Pacific Blue
Cafe, Glascott's, FitzGerald's, Molly Malone's,
Betty's Blue Star Lounge, Fitzpatrick's Hotel, Kevil's
Bar and Grill, and the Gallery Cabaret. These
performances encompass both a solo acoustic and full
band approach. Currently, McShane has been playing
full time with The Robert McShane Band, which includes
Jim Kasiewicz on guitar, Ryan Shepherd on drums,
Alison Rack on bass, and Liz Lopardo on backing
vocals. After opening for the legendary Charlie
Musselwhite at the equally legendary FitzGerald's in
Berwyn, the band has gone on to headline their own
show at FitzGerald's, open for Louisiana's own
Bluerunners at Martyrs' in Chicago, and coming in
September, they are scheduled to play the Kevil's
Block Party in Forest Park.
