ROCK: Acoustic, FOLK: Folk Pop

Details:
When was the last time you saw an opening act get a standing ovation? It doesn't happen often, but on their recent tour with chart-topper Jason Mraz, Ryanhood did the unthinkable, bringing crowds of 1500 to their feet night after night during their thirty-minute opening set. The Arizona Daily Star reported that "the evening's first standing ovation happened well before the main [act]. Ryanhood, two guys equipped only with guitars, sweet vocal harmonies and energetic banter...received an ecstatic response."

With lyrics about big dreams and unconditional love, acoustic duo Ryanhood has charmed and inspired audiences of all sorts for the past two years. Self-proclaimed "acoustic rock specialists" Ryan Green and Cameron Hood, however, have many years of blood, sweat, rhythm, and creation behind them. Hood was the frontman for Arizona rock band Easyco, while onetime rival Green took his talents to Boston's Berklee College of Music.

Ryanhood convened in 2003 and began honing their craft in the subways and streets of Boston, where the two forged their own unique style out of rock, folk, and bluegrass, and quickly connected with listeners of all ages. The acoustic guitar duo have rapidly begun to make their mark on a nationwide audience, selling over five-thousand CDs and playing more than one-hundred shows in the last year alone.

From humble and hot Tucson beginnings, the duo continues touring, finding success on their own, everywhere they go; from the subways to the street corners to the concert halls, and on to points unknown.
