Honest, well-written songs that blend rock and roots music into a catchy, listener-friendly sound.
9 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Americana, COUNTRY: Country Rock
Details:
One Score and One Decade is filled with tales from small town America. From the struggle of leaving home in Desperate Town, to finding that first spark with a new love in a darkened barroom in Stop the World, Smith brings you a collection of songs that are memorable, catchy and thoughtful.
He was born in a small town in eastern Ohio with music coming from all sides of the family. The family music styles varied from gospel, bluegrass, country and Smith's personal favorite, rock and roll. As a teenager he played in several bands in West Virginia and Ohio. By the time he was in high school, one of his songs was receiving airplay in Wheeling, WV.
Now a resident of Nashville, Ryan J. Smith performs all the vocals, guitars, bass guitars, mandolins on One Score and One Decade (with the exception of Nebraska, which features country singer Pete Baum.) Percussion was provided by Craig Minor. Former Afterglow drummer and step-brother, Steve Grose played on Never Believed and You. Eric Oliver played drums on Differently, Rock & Roll, and Stop the World.
