Details:
Singer/Songwriter Roger Kuhn (an enrolled member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians) began his journey into the world of music at a very early age on the prairies of North Dakota where he spent his childhood days on his familys farm.
At 20, with a backpack of clothes and $600 in his pocket he moved to New York City to pursue his dream of becoming a performer. After living in the city for a short three months he got his first paying job as a singer and has continued to perform throughout New York on a regular basis. Most recently Roger performed at the American Indian Community House in New York as part of their nationally recognized series Indian Summer.
His first tour, The Weekends Away Tour, kicks off this spring in Fargo, ND. The tour will be making stops in San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, New York, Boston, Seattle, Charleston, WV, Washington DC, Montreal, London and Amsterdam.
Roger has worked with several local, national and international artists as a contributing writer, studio session singer, background vocalist and instrumentalist. He has been featured as a Native singer/songwriter in both local and national publications.
When not making music, Roger spends his time volunteering for various non-profit organizations, lobbying for human and animal rights and dancing to the beat of his own drum.
