From deep within the heart of Colorado comes Roe, a Denver based piano-rock band whose sincere musical anthems and passionate vocals tell stories of honesty, ambition and heartache. Mixing poignant piano melodies with up-tempo rock and clever lyrics, Roe's musical prowess has quickly taken Colorado listeners by storm. Their heartfelt songwriting and unique style of piano rock makes Roe a band to look out for in the near future.

Roe was formed in early 2006 when long time pianist and vocalist Jake Espy met up with the bass stylings of Nick Daniluk. The two had an ambition to blend Espy's piano driven influences with Daniluk's jazz and rock roots. Soon after their meeting, Espy and Daniluk cycled through a few guitarists but finally settled on David Anderson, as well as drummer John Breeding to complete the quartet. Using Espy's material as a framework for the newly formed group, and consummate musicianship from the other three members, Roe dove head first into the Colorado music scene and has made a huge impact by playing an array of shows, as well as generated a huge buzz in the local scene.

Of their music the band says, "Our most important musical goals are to create honest, moving music that conveys emotions, relates us to listeners and most of all brings people together". They would like to continue in the direction they are headed, in creating moving piano driven, rock songs, with honest undertones and heartfelt lyrics. When asked about songwriting they said, "...we dont aim solely to write songs that people will like, we write songs that first and foremost mean something to us and through the honesty in our emotions, music and lyrics people hopefully will attach to the truth we have poured into it."
