ROOKiE is a hard hitting pop/punk/rock group from Columbus, OH. The band has shared the stage with the likes of 311, Alien Ant Farm, Vertical Horizon, Blue October, and Kill Hannah. The band has played in some of Ohio's biggest venues such as The Value City Arena (Columbus, OH) and the Brickyard(Columbus, OH). ROOKiE has received airplay on radio stations all over the country such as Tallahassee's x101.5, Columbus' 99.7 "the blitz", and Butler, PA's 97.7. The band is fresh off of their first tour experience, which featured them in 7 different states over a 2 week period. The tour was in support of their debut full length album, "When It All Goes Down," which was realeased in April of 2003. The band's 5 song demo, which was recorded only months after the band had gotten together in the winter of 2002 was licensed to the reality tv series "True Lives" (www.truelivestv.com). The TV show is currently being bid on by Showtime and Fox for airplay. The five songs were also licensed to Travis Tack's independent film "Comedy". Over the past year the band has won over many fans across the country accumulating a mailing list of over 1000 fans and developing a dedicated street team. This past summer the band went on a month long U.S. tour, which began in Pittsburgh, Pa and concluded in Tallahassee, FL. Along the way the band played 16 different cities in 8 states.
