Details:
Roanoke has grown a loyal and diehard following since forming in early 2005. When listening to their debut album 'Distaste' or checking out one of their live shows it becomes obvious why this is the case. Roanoke formed from a trio of former high school friends desperate to resuscitate their love of music. Three current Roanoke members Caleb (Vocals), Andrew (Drums) and Paul (Guitar), all natives of Olathe Kansas, had been going through the motions of post-adolescent life. Inspired by a vacated Kansas City scene, they embarked on a search for an additional guitarist and a permanent bass player to focus their direction and give scope their music. After numerous auditions they found a guitarist named Alex who had recently moved from Seattle Washington and Roanoke was born. Many shows were played and a demo was recorded with fill in bass players. As the search continued, Roanoke met Derek who was playing for another band. After numerous talks and a trial period, Derek, incidentally a former schoolmate of the Olatheans, joined the band to completing the lineup in December of 2005.
