Details:
Roxie Mae is a singer/songwriter from Indiana. She began singing literally as a baby, singing the tag line "Burn Baby Burn" to the song "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps. In kindergarten Roxie performed her first solo in front of a large crowd of parents and peers at her Benson, Arizona elementary school. That started her singing in front of anyone and everyone, she was hooked. At age ten she began writing songs, and getting into lyrical creativity. She began plunking around on a keyboard that her family bought her for her birthday. She dutifully notes her biggest inspiration to be Deborah Gibson. In high school, Roxie took on acting in plays, and singing competitions where she won first prize. At age 18 she met a 50's rocker Ronnie Haig and quickly became his back up singer along with her sister. Ronnie and Roxie started collaborating together and he soon became a member of the family marrying Roxie's sister in 1996. In 1998, Roxie and Ronnie began recording and writing songs together some of which have ended up on her debut album, "Shades Of Blue". Since the release of "Shades of Blue" in 2004, Roxie has generating sales that has placed her album in such places as CD Baby, Tower Records, Best Buy Online, several download companies including Rhapsody, Apple iTunes, and placed with Verizon Wireless phones.
