Roar and the Wolf is an independent Duo from Toronto Ontario and various other places. - but mainly Toronto. (Home base) We are Kristofer Ryken and Laura Aqui and we have each been playing music since the minute we weighed more than the instruments that we play - enough so that we could carry them around and not be smushed. And even before that, we carried tunes... You see, drums weigh alot and though the tunes are sometimes heavy, it's on the soul - and in a good way.
Since the day that the two of us cats (cats=hip musical term?) met and found that we were unable to resist each other's charms, we have been writing music together. We finally decided to formally start a band and give ourselves a name. This naming process proved to be more difficult than we had originally imagined, but after names like "laugh and the hyena" and "growl and the coyote" just didn't fly with the focus groups, we settled on Roar and the Wolf.
We now spend all the free time between our busy lollygagging/giggling schedule to write and play music together. So listen for yourself, we just know you'll be hooked!
