Heavy rock with excellent vocals and good hooks
15 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Classic Rock, METAL: 80's Metal
Details:
The long awaited solo CD from Robert Ryder, the bassist and founder of RUDE AWAKENING, one of Hollywood's most respected bands. Throughout the 80's and 90's Ryder struggled with maintaining the momentum of the band RUDE AWAKENING, holding it down through six studio albums with a different line-up every time (except for the last two CDs "Headbutter" and "Scaring The Paper People"). This CD finds Ryder striking it out on his own (albeit accompanied mostly by Rude Awakening members ironically) with 15 tracks of material he acquired over the years and deemed either inappropriate for RUDE AWAKENING or gathered from a fellow musician/band member. All the tracks are written by someone else and are either a tribute to that songwriter/band or an attempt to gain some recognition for their memory as artists. A track by track description is available. This is a strong collection of songs, a diverse selection of great memories and emotion from some of the best artists who Ryder has met over the years. It is a fond recollection of some great people and bands, and the songs which inspired them. Some of the bands/artists covered here are Mark Moogalian of Look Like Bamboo, Lou Reed, IT, and Tony Taylor. Please inquire for more info or check out www.rudeawakening.org
