Based in San Francisco CA, Superhero Theme Song makes music that blends acoustic guitar-driven alternative rock, with pop, electronica, world, and down-tempo beats.

Recorded in 2010 and 2011, Like A Star is the group's seventh album. The songs drift between melodic, singer-songwriter style ballads; alt-pop rockers with ethnic tonalities and rhythms; and cool, down tempo grooves. It was inspired by the music of Death Cab for Cutie, Liam Finn, David Gray, Beck and Zero 7.

The roots of STS go way back to a group of teenagers making their own homemade instruments out of cardboard, coffee cans and springs in a moldy garage. Original "songs" were written, performed and recorded on a rusty Radio Shack mono tape recorder. Eventually, real instruments were acquired and the group began playing shows around Northern California. Today, STS is completing work on a new album for release in summer 2012, while also working on various music projects for film, TV and multimedia.
