Skittlez is 24 years old, she grew up in New York but has lived most of her life in South Florida. She has always had a passion for music, when she was ten years old she was given a writing assignment in class and ever since that day she has found herself intrigued with writing anything in the form of poetry. As she got older she started expressing her trial and errors in life through her poetry.

Once she realized she can put her writing into songs, she started going to project studios when she hit 16 years old and found a friend to make her beats. She has been recording songs for over 8 years now and has recorded at numerous recording studios since then. It has always been her dream to be in the music industry. When Skittlez was in high school she came out of the closet that she was a lesbian.

She actually just shot her first music video in January of this year. It was to a song titled coming out, which is a true story explaining the steps she went through as she became public with her sexuality. She hopes to one day be the spokesperson for the gay and lesbian community and express herself through her music, which in turn will hopefully help other gay people come out of the closet as well. Skittlez lives a clean life so she likes to think she is a good role model for people to follow in the foot steps of. The type of music she writes is under the category of spoken word, rap, and r&b. She is now signed to an amazing independent label called Trak Quest Music and expresses that she couldnât have asked for a better producer. She explains that he has opened her eyes and helped her grow with her music in more ways then just one and that shes so thankful to have met such a genuine person who she can trust and who believes in her.
