Rob Ryan is Australian and British and lives in Texas. His music is stylized in shades of alternative folk and flamboyant rock.

âCutting Teethâ is Robâs first US EP and samples four songs that include the acoustic âEyes of Fireâ to the full instrumental alternative âForever is a Long Wave.â

Rob Ryan was born in Brisbane, Australia where he grew up on a diet of sun, beach and a thriving Australian music scene. Rob migrated to London, England where he wrote, recorded and performed his music in venues across the UK that included Londonâs Shepherds Bush Empire.

âI played in my first band at the age of 12. By the time I was 20, I felt like I had done it all. Iâd recorded in tin sheds through to professional rigs; played to a crowd of one at an afternoon pub session; appeared on network TV & radio; was held hostage at a bikerâs club being forced to play the last set over and over until dawn; won music awards; shared a dressing room with erotic dancers; escaped an on-stage stabbing; played in front of crowds of thousands â this simply is the craziest business I know.â

Rob now lives, writes and performs in Texas. âThe music scene in Texas is incredibly talented, supportive and accessible. Though it has influenced me to strip away at my music and whittle it down to acoustic simplicity I still gravitate towards something edgier. There is tension in my songs.â
