VIRDEN ADDITION is a residential community located in North East Jackson MS although it was a real nice residential community back in the late 60s and early 70s the neighborhood still had more than it's fair share of crime nonetheless I grew up there and many of the fond memories I have of that time in my life have served as inspiration from several of the songs on this album

JACK TOWN... is a street slang term for the city of Jackson Mississippi a city in in which most of it residents would agree that the politicians there have and still are more of the city's problems than it's solution a series of bad none crime fighting Mayors and other city officials for many years have done very little to
improve the quality of life in this city some of the most crime infested areas are The Georgetown Community Virden Addition Shady Oaks and The Washington District

EGO TRIPPING LADY.....is a song about an unattractive woman that's so stuck on herself that she's literally annoying to be around or even to talk to on the phone because at least 90 of the conversation is usually about personal things in her life that absolutely no one is interested in hearing about but she insist on talking about them anyway

MR. C.L... Is my last living uncle and the inspiration for this song came from real experiences in his life that occurred when I was only around 8 or 9 years old
my uncle talks a whole lot of noise but I you say boo he's probably out run his own shadow trying to get away

LOUISE MISSISSIPPI BLUES... Louise Mississippi is a very small Delta town about 10 miles west of Yazoo City MS a town so small if you make a half blink you'll miss it , and for many years I worked with a man from that town who complained none stop on the job about the way his family treated him which consisted of a well to do wife and a spoiled brat step son that made his life one big living hell on a regular basis but in spite of all the drama in which he constantly complained about he chose to stay in the relationship for whatever that was worth

GOOD TIME SHIRLEY ..... Was a wild cousin on my father's side of the family that visited us from Chicago one summer ,this young lady gave a whole new meaning to the term loose and and the streets let's just say she caused such an uproar among young and old men in that community that my parents had to
send her back to the windy city quick fast and in a hurry everybody wanted Shirley and Shirley wanted them to want her but my parents were not having
all that drama so they put her on a greyhound for home end of story
