Details:
In the summer of '98, Rob graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park. In a mire of post-graduate lack of direction, Rob fiddled away at his guitar, which he had started playing as a senior in high school, and ended up writing his first song. He liked it. He wrote a few more. He liked those. They made him feel good. Life was... better.

About a year later, Rob got involved in auto racing. One week before his first event in a rally car, he sat down with a friend who had some recording equipment and recorded some of his songs in case he hurt himself and couldn't play anymore... sort of like a musical insurance plan. The race went well and without incident, and soon after Rob let a couple friends check out the songs he had recorded. His friends liked the songs. They let their friends listen to the songs. They liked the songs too. Soon the response to Rob's songs was so overwhelmingly positive that he decided to begin performing them publicly. After a few years of open mics and solo gigs, Rob gathered more praise, more friends, and occasionally a few bucks to put toward the racing budget. He, his brother Mark, and friends Aaron Kenner and Ed Heisig, also formed a band that Rob persuaded them to name after a rally-driving technique - 'Left Foot Braking.'

That first recording that Rob created in his friend's studio, affectionately known as 'On the Stairs to Go Up,' will eventually be made available in a retail-friendly format. In the meantime, Rob is publishing a Live EP and studio demo entitled 'Rob Bergstrom Live @ Victory Hall Theatre.' Ultimately, Rob hopes his songs bring as much joy, release, and fulfillment to those who listen to them as they have to him... and it wouldn't hurt if they brought in a few bucks for the racing budget.
