Modern folk and roots rock
11 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, ROCK: Roots Rock
Details:
Shortly after Rodger Brunning went into the studio to do his second album, he lost his son, Matthew, in a tragic car accident. For about a year everything stopped. The shock left him numb but luckily he ran into the brillant string man Darrin Schott and "There's a Moment" was born.
"There'a Moment" is a beautiful roots album that captures the spirit and struggle of trying to carry on in the face of tragedy. Anyone who has suffered the agony of losing a child will find at least some small measure of comfort in the elegantly crafted songs.
Track 1:Resume
Track 3:There's a Moment
& Track 10:Talking to the Cats
each speak directly to the sense of lose, to the confusion, the depression and heartache.
When "Talking to the Cats" was played on the CBC in Canada, one listener phoned in to say that the song was the most moving piece of music he had ever heard on the radio.
