Details:
Rose Francois was born November eighteenth in Haiti. She grew up as the daughter of a minister in a family of eleven. The introduction of music came very early in life through the small-town church where her father ministered. Whether it was singing in a wedding, a church program, a special community event, or just within her large family, Rose became a hometown favorite by the time she was just seven years old.
Growing up in a musical family made music a third language for Rose, with her first being French and Creole and then later in life, English. Her oldest brother Frantz's passion for music played a pivotal role for Rose, by allowing her to delve deeper into her own musical expression. In the spring of 1997, the tragic death of Rose's brother changed the Francois family forever. It was then that Rose knew that she could never let go of her dream or the passion for music that Frantz had enabled her to see.
Since arriving in America, Rose Francois has continued to cultivate her special gift by sharing the dream instilled within her as a young girl. By sharing her love for God through music and reaching across all cultural boundaries to express her love for music through songs, Rose Francois hopes to give back something in return for all that's been given to her.
