melodic pop rock
12 MP3 Songs
POP: Beatles-pop, FOLK: Modern Folk
Details:
This is a collection of 12 of my solo songs from 4 of my past solo albums dating between 1991 & 1995, and 1 joint album from 1994 with my dear friend Amy Meyers (see her albums at CDBaby), that featured my Rickenbacker 360-12V64 electric 12-string; an early 90's re-issue of the one George Harrison used in the Beatles. A short name for this type of guitar is a "Ricky-12". My nickname is also Ricky... and there are 12 of my songs... Thus, the title "Ricky-12" seemed to have a nice double-meaning.
I was inspired to put this album together after having the great opportunity to meet the gentle Roger McGuinn and his wife Camilla at a local concert venue here in the SF Bay Area in April 2006. I hope you enjoy the "jingle-jangle" of the Rick Pop songs. They are, in a way, in honor of the Byrds and the Beatles sound, in my attempt to preserve that kind of sound/style for the generations before and after.
Love & Music to all. Ricky.
