Mushrooms, Mushrooms, Mushrooms is a novelty CD of playful songs, suitable for all ages, mainly acoustic and all about... mushrooms.
10 MP3 Songs
POP: Quirky, FOLK: Folk Pop
Details:
Rich Spence has combined two of his favorite passions, songwriting and mushrooms, into one project, a CD of songs about mushrooms. The music is mainly acoustic and emphasizes the lyrics of the light hearted songs. The music is mainly folksy americana with some inspired silliness thrown in. For instance, Rich added a mushroom lexicon of lyrics to the melody of one of Mendelssohn's "Song Without Words". He also anthropomorphizes a deadly mushroom into a bride in "The Ballad of Anita Verna" and introduces the Jack Frost of the world of fungus in "Thelonius Fungus".
There are guitars, mandolins, trombones and harmonicas backing up Rich's gentle voice.
Although songs from his earlier recordings all have a laugh or two (or more) in them, this is the first time he has approached every song in a light hearted way. This recording is aimed for adults but is suitable for children too.
