Cooperâs songs are performed by veteran artists including John Schwab, McGuffey Lane, J. D. Blackfoot, Sirens, Jeff Allen, and Bobby Ross. Multi-Grammy-winning players Bela Fleck and Mark O'Connor can be heard on this CD. Kenny Aronoff, John Mellencampâs former drummer, even plays on four songs. Cooper includes a bonus track that is a tribute to his first songwriting partner, the late George Jeffrey. âIâm Cominâ Back Againâ is a rough demo recorded by Jeffrey in the 1970s.
The CD comes complete with a 20-page booklet that has the lyrics and the inspiration behind each song, along with in-depth information about Cooper, his cowriters, and the artists who performed his songs.
