Details:
Tenor voiced singer-songwriter Ricky Dean Fisher has been writing songs about love, spirituality, relationships, and social issues for many years. His 2001 song about September 11th entitled Remembrance was released on a multi-artist CD by JIP Records in Nashville. Remembrance received airplay on stations throughout the Untied States, on internet radio, and on the Armed Forces Network.
In the Spring of 2001, Ricky released an EP entitled Sunrise Child. AMG (All Music Guide) reviewer Murrday Fisher (no relation) wrote in her review that Sunrise Child is a sweet little debut EP that merits repeat play and Ricky Dean Fishers talent leaves listeners wishing for more, like a full-length follow-up album. Songwriter magazine called Sunrise Child crisp, commercially aware and powerfully executed. Ricky has a good ear for good music.
In 2004, Ricky completed his first full CD, Acoustic Songbook Chapter 1: Bittersweet. It is a very special solo-acoustic work that best represents his coffeehouse-style performance. More importantly, the CD has brought Ricky full-circle, back to his roots as a solo-performer, artist, and writer.
After the release of his Acoustic Songbook CD, Ricky began actively performing his music at venues throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The response has been wonderful. With a guitar on his back and that dream still alive in his heart, Ricky is now doing what he loves the most-entertaining audiences with his original songs.
Ricky has been featured in Allentowns Morning Call, The Easton Express, Channel 13 News, and he has performed live on PAWEBCAST in Harrisburg, PA. For more information on scheduling a performance, contact Ricky at fishfire@epix.net.
