Power pop meets 80's hair metal and barbershop quartet in this riveting sonic adventure.
9 MP3 Songs
POP: 80's Pop, ROCK: 80's Rock
Details:
Rootin' Tootin' Rooster has been praised as one of the best new rock bands to emerge since Iron Maiden. Creative force and keyboardist Robert Treefolk (also of the Torn Asunder sessions) began writing more serious songs after the release of âTorn Asunder 1: Alex's Life." These songs would soon become more than he could have ever imagined.
Rootin' Tootin' Rooster got together in early 2006. Since then, they have been working on their upcoming release for Jay Oss Studios, "The Cock Rising." This album is a quirky adventure that takes you from the power of modern pop to the gut wrenching might of 80âs metal, then back to the days of the barbershop quartet! This album is one of the most thrilling listens on todayâs stale and âemoâ-filled market! Using very oldschool production methods with a loose 'recorded this in my bedroom on a laptop' feel and sound, and absolutely no bass. "The Cock Rising" is a refreshing break from over-compressed radio hits.
Even as you are reading this, Rootin' Tootin' Rooster are hard at work on 2 follow up albums! 'Torn Asunder 2: The Glorious Hildebrant Family' and 'Born In A Barn' These albums, also produced and recorded by Jay Oss, will have a much different sound. "We're going for something a little more refined, but we still want to keep our lo-fi from the heart feel and high energy," says Robert. "We love what Jay Oss did for our first album. A lot of people thought it sounded 'cheap, like you just did it in your bedroom' but that's just the sound we were looking for! On this one, we want it to be a little more modern, and we know Jay will deliver!"
