To begin with, my name is Patrick Durkin; of course you've probably figured that out by reading my name on the cover of the CD. I was born in Brooklyn, New York twelve days after John F. Kennedy was assassinated. This is where I spent the first 18 years of my life. I moved to Boston to go to college and this is where I presently live, trying to make it in this wonderful world of music.

"The Undertow" album is a collection of what I consider my best work over the past many, many years, freshly revised and recorded by nine of whom I consider to be Boston's best musicians. I extract many of my musical ideas from my passions. The ocean, History and traveling are three big ones and if you examine the twelve page booklet inside the CD you'll see some of my favorite locations on this planet.

Anyway, enjoy listening to the sound bites. I do hope you decide to purchase a copy of " The Undertow" and enjoy it for the rest of your lives. The title track "The Undertow" was inspired by a real life undertow that nearly drowned me off the coast of Cape Cod... and a few other perilous situations.
