PapaHugs Productions was started by David Sharpe to produce and market his original music for children. The future intention of this company is to work with other talented children's musicians helping them to reach their musical goals and at the same time provide wonderful music for children, their parents, and grandparents to enjoy. David Sharpe recently entered the world of children's music after being inspired not only by his children, but more recently,his grandchildren. For over forty years he has played the acoustic guitar and written music. For thirty years he has worked as a Podiatrist taking care of painful feet and leaving his music to be secondary to his medical career. He has always been influenced by musicians such as John Denver, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, and Willie Nelson. David feels that his music is the type that John Denver would write and sing to his grandchildren if he were alive today. This recent passion for children's music has led to the release of his first CD, "All The Things You Dream." His debut CD contains fifteen original songs, all written and recorded by David Sharpe.
David's music mirrors the images and thoughts of children, reflecting all the amazing things children say and do. These songs are interactive and educational. They tell stories and ask questions about the world around us. The songs are appealing to children of all ages as well as their parents and of course their grandparents. David has created a delightful mix of fun and heartwarming songs infused with rock and roll, blues, and country.
