Iâm a professional singer working in the southern California area. As I travel round on business and vacation, âI love to explore the local groupâ to see what styles and size of bands are working in the area. It is not uncommon for me to ask to âset inâ with the different groups the better to experience them.
This is exactly, what happened during a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, I heard some music and went to investigate and found this FUNKY Trio working, what a great surprise, as I needed a transfusion of good music badly. I asked if I could sing a song with them and they reluctantly, said ok and 4 nights later this CD was made, The Drummer Matt Hadaway was recording their music and simply continued with me and the rough, cut was made. I was very happy to hear they had done it and asked if they would mind my using it. They were glad I liked it and said go for it.

When I got home to San Diego, I took it to Bee Gee Gerber, Cyborg Music whoâs studio in his home, we had been working on some other music but we both liked this better, he cleaned it up smoothed up some rough edges, like being that this was live I was talking to the audience, I love doing that and it was taking up too much room also, he had an arrangement of Ipanema he wanted me to try on, it fit. We included it.
The name of this fantastically funky group is DELUXE; they are still on the good ship VALOR in the Caribbean, the group is comprised of
