12 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Folk, FOLK: Modern Folk
Details:
ââ¦The Dolls are truly a class act ⦠Intelligently arranged, complex multi-part harmonies spread out over three amazing voices, along with subtlety clever and consistently humorous, innuendo drenched original lyricsâ¦â
(Steve Jones, dB Magazine, March 2006)
Adelaide band "The Dolls" are Charlotte Mudge, Lissy Elliott and Bronwyn Gell - three cowgirls singing harmonies that will break your heart in two one moment then blow the hat clean off your head the next!
The Dollâs alternative country style draws together straight-up country, hillbilly, blues and cabaret resulting in an infectious combo of home-spun original tunes.
In their roamings The Dolls have entertained audiences in cabaret clubs, country pubs and major festivals, including Tamworth, Barmera and the 2006 Adelaide Fringe Festival where they debuted their brand new show "The Dolls: In Freudian Slips". The Dolls also supported Vikka & Linda Bull during the Adelaide leg of their 2003 Australian tour, and have collected an ever increasing fan-base during their current residency at Adelaideâs Wheatsheaf International Hotel.
The Dollâs kick-ass band of guitar, double bass and drums ignites to fire up the joint with red hot, rollicking tunes and slow-baked ballads straight off The Dollâs Original Grill. So put your heart on your sleeve and come see these three gorgeous gals doinâ their own brand of country.
