We are Dirty Hearts and were banging out an eclectic sound of rock-n-roll combining punk rock attitude with pop aesthetics. We got together a couple of years ago in Austin, TX, and quickly started playing our asses off at every biker, gay, punk and cowboy hell hole in town. Of course were all sibling couples like The White Stripes or maybe were a bunch of swingers like Fleetwood Mac or maybe a band of cool lesbians like the GO-GOs or maybe. Ok Ill stop.
Anyway this happy family consists of singer, guitar player Frankie Medina (formerly of NM power popsters Electricoolade) Misty Watkins on the bass (current member of Shandon Sahm) Calida on keys and vocals (2006 SXSW artist and Formerly of Electronic Girl) and drummer extraordinaire James Sheeran (current member Mr. Lewis and formerly of Austin pop faves, Color).
In 2005 we made a demo EP that got past around a bit called 5 Canciones 5 Pesos. The first full-length is in the works and should be out there this year. Start holding your breathreally.
