My name is Tom Muellner a.k.a. Mumbles McMahon. I'm a singer/songwriter from the Chicago area. I describe my muscial sound as somewhere between Jack Johnson and Bruce Springsteen. Since I was 14 years old, I'll be 18 this October, I've been playing guitar and making music. I'm a student of the historic Old Town School of Folk Music, and the things I've learned there have really influenced my music differently than most guys my age. This is album, Recluse Set Loose, is my first album and to me, the title says it all. I'm a quiet young man, with a good sense of perspective and an ability to put my feelings into words and music. All of my songs have a meaning, whether I'm saying "I hope he breaks your heart / so I can pick up the pieces and throw them in your face", "Girls sometimes your like that moose", or "If you should ever find happiness / you wear your wedding dress / and I'll be happy with you" I hope to get across more than just words to the listener. I play acoustic guitar, harmonica, piano, bass, and synth on this album to reinforce my heart and ideas. I hope you enjoy my music.
