Carefully crafted acoustic pop gems, infectious enough to get stuck in your head on repeat.

POP: Folky Pop, BLUES: Acoustic Blues
Details:
Joseph Mulhollen is one of those people who doesnât adhere to a scene, a structure, or a definition. Though he has been playing music since he was 13, he very rarely calls himself a musician. He is not outspoken, nor is he a wallflower. When asked to describe his music, he smiles as if youâre asking him to spill the beans on a well kept secret.
However, none of that matters when he is on the stage. With nothing more than an acoustic guitar, he freely divulges those secrets with the wit of a seasoned bar fly. His voice is a creature all its own, one minute as frail as unleavened bread, the next minute soaring just long enough to know itâs over stepping its intrinsic boundaries. Joseph is a conjurer. With the shy, silent manchild left in the backdrop, the real Joseph surfaces. He has a story to tell.
Quotes:
"[The music] is made unique by Mulhollenâs words, and the care that he takes in choosing them and blending them with simple and graceful rhythmic timing.â â Ashley Chappell from Indie-Music.Com
âJoseph Mulhollen's first official release, Polar, is that rarest of gems: an original, lyrical, beautiful, intense, and refreshingly honest album with an underlying sense of good humor that keeps the listener buoyed above the pathos that often drowns the work of other artists.â â Katherine M. Woehr from CDBaby.com
âWith the influx of male singer-songwriters, Joseph Mulhollenâs music is refreshing and thought provoking. He twists his words like macramé around his guitar so tightly, you almost wait for his guitar to snap in two.â â Mark Straussberg from Lowercase J Entertainment
Joseph has shared the stage with some amazing people, ranging from other acoustic clad performers such as Pamela Means, Rose Polenzani, Melissa Ferrick, Gregory Douglass, Sabrina Matthews, Sarah Slean, Cat Power, Bonnie âPrinceâ Billy and Tony Cassis, to rock acts such as The Butchies, Q And Not U, Rasputina, Matt Pond PA, The Mathematicians and The Graham Colton Band. With a new independently released album, Joseph is hoping to take to the road with a new collection of secrets youâll want to know.
