Unlike my films, which tend to be rhythmic imagery. My music leans toward visual tonalities and environments. Often incorporating found speeches and previously recorded ephemera, segments of these are looped into rhymic patterns and, in some cases, play the part of instruments. A few tracks go so far as to use only recorded natural sounds as the entire musical lexicon.

Like that of my films, I attempt to build a piece from introduction to crescendo. Undoubtedly, this weakness is based on my natural attraction to the Romantic ideal and sense of theatre... a beginning, middle and end exist.

Segments of some of these tracks were used as the soundtrack for my film work and a few included elements were the foundation of performance soundtracks for Dutch artists Paul and Menno deNooijer.

These works are less intended as musical entertainment than they are as performance elements... the aural component of performance art.
