Known for a unique lilting angelic voice that exudes sensuality, Melodee Lynn is a soprano vocalist whose pop music style was inspired by gospel music and developed through years of church choir performances. The small-town Pennsylvania artist is a down-to-earth sweetheart who has been influenced by performers such as Sarah McLachlan, Dido, and Sheryl Crow. An emotive singer-songwriter, Melodee's lyrics reveal her heart on her sleeve and her performances melt the hearts of everyone she comes into contact with. In the February 2006 publication of Emergence Young Adult Ministry, the Publisher celebrated Melodees performance of songs on her debut CD stating, Everyone in the club stood there mesmerized.
In January 2006, Melodee launched her debut album titled, Nothing But Change, an alternative pop CD produced by the acclaimed team of Richard Swift and Elijah Thomson. All ten pop songs on the album are written with core family values yet the intense lyrics permeate every line conveying the depth and experience of adult contemporary music. Melodee admits, Nothing but change has been the theme of my life over the past few years. Moving to Los Angeles, experiencing new relationships, and the unexpected turns life has taken me on while pursuing my dreams. Ive learned that nothing is stable, and even though sometimes it can be hard, I wouldnt have it any other way. After her performance of Smith's "Come to Jesus" during her CD release event at the Derby Night Club in Los Angeles this past February, Melodee's friend and mentor, Melina Kanakaredes, from CSI: New York, said, "There was something about that song, it just held me captive. It was my favorite."
Residing in Los Angeles since 2002, Melodee has been focused on her career success by learning all facets of the entertainment industry from acting to producing to writing and singing. Over the past two years, she has collaborated on vocals for dance tracks with pop DJs including the title "Take Me" with Chuck Lepley signed to Mining Vinyl, the title "Eyes" signed to Harlem Records and Strawberry Blonde, both titles which were released on DJ Steve Lawler's Lights Out 3 Compilation CD. Most recently, she is writing with Producer/DJ Ellis Ranko, who works with Trent Cantrelle under VISE Records. She is also busy promoting her new CD through performances at popular venues such as the world famous Derby, King King, and Genghis Cohen with musicians including John Hatton who plays bass for The Brian Setzer Orchestra and up-and-coming artists such as guitarist Luis Oliart, named A Hot 100 Unsigned Artist of 2005 by The Music Connection Magazine whose new controversial single titled Jesus is Coming Down the Road features Melodees background vocals.
