As warm and radiant as the atmosphere in the south, Melody, who has Trinidadian/American roots, hails from Florida. She spent her early years growing up in Miami enjoying the richness of its culture and of course the beauty of its beaches. Melodyâs love for music has never wavered and so music has lead her all across the country.
Following her dream to be a musical superstar Melody migrated to New York where she took up an internship for a Major music television station. This allowed her the opportunity to meet some really influential people, who gave her great advice on how to be successful in this Biz. Listening and Learning from her big Apple experiences Melody returned to the South for what were major opportunities to work with some of the hottest producers in Miami, Orlando, Jacksonville and Atlanta. Her journey to create a masterpiece album began, starting with her Single "Oh No Oh Yeah" which is recieving great responses from radio right now.
She has also covered radio interviews with 90 of the Stations playing her song right now and has been a host on the Larry Steele Morning Show (Whjx Hot 105.7 Jacksonville). He was quite impressed with Melodyâs song and interview; so impressed, the host labeled âher as the next Star in muzicâ. Melody has also been busy in print and television, she has articles coming out in next months(October issue) Hood Magazine and Iceberg Magazine, her performance for The Wu-Tang Clan at the Blue Room in Orlando was filmed by Movement Television in Orlando..They were quoted as saying âshe is awesome, electrifying.. A must see!! â She was also interviewed by Rollout Magazine television on the red carpet in ATL while attending the Billboard awards.
As if that was not enough to solidify her Star Quality! ITâS OFFICIAL⦠Melody has taken over Myspace .Since joining Myspace (myspace.com/melodymuzic); she has amassed 165,000 listeners in only 14 weeks. Her page is one of the most visited pages on Myspace and has sparked a lot of interest by those in the Muzic and Entertainment biz.
As her buzz continues to grow, Melody is currently 75 done with her album and it is going to be one of the biggest to hit this year!! Look out cause here comes Melody, tha next movement of tha South!!
