10 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, POP: Folky Pop
Details:
Unlike most acts that have a visual female performer for marketing purposes only, Meg Hackett is a performer who seems to break the stereotype of the typical solo artist.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, and raised in Weston, Connecticut. Meg started out as a soloist back in 1977. She has also worked in a few rock & roll bands, of which Head First was the most successful, as well as Top 40 Bands. Meg has also recorded countless backup vocals for various artists trying to get their music heard in the record industry. A well seasoned performer, mostly appearing in the eastern coastal area. She has toured Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Cape Cod and as far south as Florida (Orlando and Brevard County).
She has studied with Sal Salvador for six years along with another teacher, Steve Famigletti, who taught jazz guitar and Chamberlain's styles of playing. She has studied voice for several years with Rose Finegan, Martha King and is currently studying with Jean Westerman Gregg. Her vocal influences, when narrowed down to one, would be Joni Mitchell and for guitar Michael Hedges.
Meg is not only a performer, but she has been an Entertainment Director for an exclusive club, handling bookings, promotions, as well as performing.
NEW RELEASE
Hackett has finally come out with her second release "If I Can Believe". The difference with this release, it has been arranged and produced by Donna Summers Music Director, Jens Wendelboe. You can buy her CD here on CDBaby.com!
