POP: Delicate, EASY LISTENING: Soft Rock
Details:
Like a lot of people I first heard about The Four Agreemants by Don Miguel Ruiz on Oprah when she mentioned the book had been recommended by the comic Ellen Degeneres as being particulary helpful. I picked up a copy and I'm so glad I did.
Sometime later I got a call to sing at a Sunday service at Unity Church and because I like to plan the music I asked what the lesson would be on. The second of The Four Agreements: Don't take Anything personally> In a quiet time the next day the first song I wrote for this project came through "Don't Take It Personally."
From the reaction of the congragation, I knew I had to write 3 more songs! Well, I wrote 4 more songs! That's how inspiring the book is!
I sang before Don Miguel spoke here in Chicago at Transistions over a year ago and what a thrill that was! Singing the song and meeting him, his family and hearing his wonderful words of wisdom was a blessing.
I am on a roll it seems writing and singing what is now being called "New Thought Music." I just returned from singing at a conference for AGNT - The Assoc. of Global New Thought - and I am filled with new confidance and inspiration that not only is Peace possible, it is inevitable.
I wish you peace,
Live Love Laugh!
