Details:
Mester Tamás started his career in the band âStepâ as a bass-player (1989).
For two years, he lived in France and then toured Europe with his âDream Teamâ band (1991-92).
The Hungarian audience got to know him as a songwriter, singer, guitarist in the rock group âMaster and Disciplesâ (1993-1995).
Based on a public opinion poll conducted in 1994, the band enjoyed a 93 representative popularity in the country.
Merely in Hungary, their two albums sold over 150,000 copies.
After their first album achieved double Gold album certification, they won the âNew Artist of the Yearâ and the âAlbum of the Yearâ Awards.
To the Operetta Theatreâs invitation, he played the role of âDeathâ in the now world-famous musical âElisabethâ in Budapest and Szeged (1996).
In 1999, he moved to Los Angeles then to New York, where he started working on his first solo album.
American impresarios and producers had shown massive interest in him.
Consequently he met Eric Gast and later founded FM Records.
