Local musician Stephen Mendon released his album "These Friends of Mine" last month. The album features Mendon, along with Laurie Mendon, Stew Pappenfort, Rich Clark, Shaun Kohl, Ed Rodgers, Joanie Houston and Dr. Eric Carlson.

The album is loaded with local talent, a portrait of artists, which holds the listener captivated throughout. Listening to These Friends of Mine is like driving in a pickup along a mountain raod, the dreamlike state of dust and spruce. (Paul J. Goetz), Canon Current, Canon City, CO.
