BIO:
Well hello there won't you come in please have a seat. As much as I enjoy artists with the gall to write about their own brilliance in the third person, with lots of lofty adjectives and typos, I'm going to spare you the facade of all that and skip straight to the lofty adjectives and typos.. "My name is of no importance," I once heard Ray Davies say, so the name I give to the group that performs my songs is Children Having Children. Sometimes I'm in the group and sometimes I am the group. I'd rather not play all by my lonesome, as you might be able to tell from the songs, but sometimes one has no choice. You understand, don't you?
Why the name? Hmm. It's what I see when I look out my window, it's what I feel when I look in the mirror, and it's what I hear when I listen to these songs. They're my little babies and I'm trying to raise them as best as I can -- the songs, I mean. Right now I have enlisted the helping hands of fellow New York City residents Face Yu (piano player extraordinaire) and Terry Moore (sticks-ablaze drummer of the 21st century and beyond). We're very excited to share with you the music we've been deep frying in our Brooklyn kitchen. The second Children Having Children EP, Flush, is due out in the summer (first self-titled EP available now through childrenhavingchildren.com, iTunes, or any of the other usual suspects). Live performances to follow and precede.
Stay tuned to childrenhavingchildren.com for news, free music, and other off-color remarks. We live in the greatest city in the world and look forward to conveying that excitement to you, our fatefulâ¦ahem, faithful listeners. Thank you for your patronage in these trying times. My name's Steven Kaiser, by the way. Nice to meet you.
