What this album is really all about:
Mr.Noah Kleiman floated on a raft of professional accomplishments as an innovative non-profit Executive Director and technical-guru-at-large in Portland's vibrant arts community. In 2006 Mr.Noah was awarded Willamette Week's prestigious Skidmore Prize in recognition of his work as the founding Executive Director of Old Library Studio, Portland's non-profit music recording studio for teens. Everything was going rather well, it seemed.

By April of 2009 Old Library Studio was a well-funded, vibrant program, which had been achieving significant growth in the face of the economic downturn.
At the height of his professional accomplishments, Mr.Noah's position as Executive Director, teacher, and sole employee was suddenly eliminated - the day before Spring classes were scheduled to commence.

Students, parents, and supporters were shocked and disappointed. As one supporter put it, "Watching Old Library Studio fade into craptacularness has been the saddest experience of my life".

Mr.Noah's Opus tells the tale of what it's like to start something from next-to-nothing. It shares the whirlwind roller coaster ride that is the daily experience of non-profit Executive Directors and other cause advocates. It remembers the pain of blindsided betrayal, but also marks a footpath out of that bitter darkness and back into the light. Plenty of catchy love songs are provided to help the medicine go down, and to remind us all that having someone special by your side really helps when the road gets bumpy.
