Fact in Fiction is the second album from singer/song writer/multi instrumentalist Chris Mikkelson who, along with his sister Mahriyanna Kersbergen are known as The Flight to Light.

âI love a bunch of different styles of musicâ says Chris âWhether itâs the face melting Rock of Skillet, the warm fuzzy Electronica of Owl City, the surf Rock/Pop of Switchfoot, or the funky Rap of KJ-52 and Toby Mac, I love it all, so when recording this album I wanted to put a little bit of almost everything in it, and for the most part, I think I succeeded.

Chris started this project in 2009 with the plan to just make a 4 or 5 song EP, but the songs just kept coming and what started as a small project turned into something much bigger. So for your convenience here is a quick rundown of all the songs so you can quickly go to the tune that best suits your taste.

1. Candle Burn: Rock with Electronic elements interspersed throughout. The song is about how God is like a lighthouse always guiding us home if we follow him.

2. The Sad Chess Player: Old school Rock with a crazy lead provided by former rocker and member of the famous folkgrass duo Still on the Hill, Kelly Mulhollan.

3. One Hundred Percent: Laid back Pop with a hint of funk and lyrics centering on the theme of the sun always shining behind the clouds and good always being there even when all seems lost.

4. True Love Waits: A Electronica love song Chris wrote for his future wife.

5. Save our Souls: A Pop/Rock/Reggae song about sailors trapped aboard the cursed ship known as the Flying Dutchmen.

6. Social Network Blues: Folky Blues about Social Networks and how they need to be used wisely or they can cause all kinds of trouble. Featuring amazing fiddle playing by the other of half of Still on the Hill, Donna Stjerna.

7. Life Starts Now: A Hard rocking pro life song. Chris and Friends recently made a music video of it which can be watched on Youtube.

8. Worth It All (Band Remix): A remix from Chrisâs first project. Worth it All is a synth infused Rock song featuring drums, electric guitar, keyboard, and vocals from Chrisâs old band mates.

9. Going Green (a Veggie Wrap): A tongue in cheek rap about health food and the benefits of eating your greens.

10. Fact in Fiction: The title track of album, Fact in Fiction is a quirky mix of Rock and Electronica.

11. Somewhere (Techno Remix): New improved version of Somewhere, now with pounding techno beat and a bit of distorted guitar for good measure.

12. Better Man (Symphony Remix): Brit Rock inspired song about striving to be a better person and friend.
