Douglas Darren Dávila is a singer/songwriter born in Houston, Texas.
After many years as a tejano music singer, he was called by God to a simple life of discipleship of Jesus Christ. He now serves as a music minister at the Catholic Charismatic Center in Houston. His "real job" is as a teacher for sixty lively 2nd graders.
In 2008, he and a friend began to get together and pray for the Lord to teach them a song. This freshman Christian project entitled "I Trust In You" is the product of over two years of "hearing stuff". "I Trust In You" features 11 tracks with a mix of styles and influences all with the heartfelt conviction, joy, and hope of a real conversion experience.
A very appropriate song for our times is track number two, "I Trust In You". It reminds us of tragedy that happens all around us and the hope that we have in the Saviour. Doug and James drew from recent headlines and personal life experiences like in the tragic death of a close friend from colon cancer and God's grace for the inspiration for this song.
