Crunchy rhythm guitar topped with lightly shredded solos and smooth, creamy bass, sweetened with melody, seasoned with harmonies, and beat with drums.
4 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: Power Pop
Details:
Hot on the heels of releasing its debut EP, The Making is taking its music to the streets. This melodic four-piece from the Baltimore area has written a full arsenal of original songs. Fans already know the words and enthusiastically sing along to the unreleased tunes.
In the summer of 2004, a few causal songwriting sessions between lead singers Gavin St. Ours (formerly of Three Track Mind) and David Smith (formerly of Truesetto) evolved quickly into full-band rehearsals with the addition of bassist Spencer Greer and drummer Devo Taylor. Inspiration struck as the band found its voice, and the songs were quick to follow.
Having only been an established band for two years, The Making has performed at such notable venues as Fletcherâs and Sonar in Baltimore, as well as IOTA and Staccato in DC. With frequent local radio airplay and enough material to send the band back into the studio to record a full-length record this fall, The Making is catching the ears of music fans throughout the Baltimore/Washington scene.
