Steve Madewell grew up in West Milton Ohio, and began playing guitar at an early age. He has performed at numerous clubs and community events throughout Ohio and Western Pa.
While music has been a major part of his life, for the past 23 years Steve has also worked in the conservation field working to buy and preserve land and developing management strategies for natural resources in several park systems and conservation organizations.
When living in the Dayton area, Steve performed throughout the region and was a regular opener for national acts including Leon Russell, John Prine, Doc Watson, New Grass Revival, John Sebastian and many more.
For the past several years Steve has lived and worked in northeastern Ohio. During this time he has continued to perform delivering a variety of musical styles at local concerts, wineries and clubs.
He has worked with stage bands, dramatic productions, a variety of rock and acoustic bands and of course conducted solo performances.
Steve's most recent project Rivers and Trails is a collection of original songs inspired by outdoor experiences. This simple production of songs is both introspective and humorous with an occasional jab at the fly angler.
Rivers and Trails has been positively reviewed by out door writers across
Ohio.
Steve is currently securing dates for home and community concerts, special events and parties for solo, duo and trio performances.
