Mary Kai is currently among Little Rockâs leading female vocal entertainers. In her spare time she composed these Childrenâs songs while she was living in South Florida and traveling internationally with the well known Latin artist, Jose Luis Rodriguez (El Puma) as one of his support singers.

In between traveling engagements she spent time with her friends in Hollywood, John Jay Martyn and Michael Shiner. John just âhappenedâ to own a recording studio at the time and he and Mike had just graduated from Berklee College of Music and were a jingle writing team, of which Mary Kai was the #1 female vocalist.

Mary Kai penned these tunes and John did the arrangements, while Mike played all the guitar parts (and even helped compose the music on The Frog Hop Bop).

âIt was an absolute blast doing this CD projectâ says John Jay. âWhen you really listen to the lyrics, youâll hear that they were written very tongue-in-cheek, that both kids AND their parents will find amusing. Some of those recording sessions and sound effects we added were just too much fun!â

One of Mary Kai's passions in both South Florida, and Little Rock is teaching Theater and Music to Children. She is also an active member of Kitten Rescue League; she brings "found" kittens into her home and nurses them until they are of an adoptable age.
